Can this model — I mean what you and other Bombay IITans have been doing — be replicated in other IITs?

Absolutely. I think there is a lot of interest in the IITs and I think the alumni are in a position to help. I think we should do that. I think certainly it would apply to the other IITs.

Alumni Picnic in Houston, 3rd March

Time has come to reign in the annual rite of spring - spring picnic hosted by the IIT Kharagpur Houston Alumni Chapter. It will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 at the George Bush Park in west Houston .

This year’s picnic will be marked by some new planning. We plan to have special entertainment - intended for the spouses and significant others. We will have kids events so that the next generation of IITians will have a field day of fun and frolic.

This event is being planned to generate maximum amount of camaraderie and for people to have pure and simple fun. It will be an excellent opportunity to mingle and be introduced to new and old faces.

As usual, early signup helps the planning for the picnic.
