IIT Kharagpur Alumni Group On LinkedIn

If you are a KGPian and are currently using LinkedIn to manage your professional networks, please be aware that a IIT Kharagpur Group has been created on LinkedIn.
This will allow you to display the IIT Kharagpur Logo in your profile and give you access to fellow IITians in LinkedIn. Currently there are about 450 members in this group.
An alumni based group also increases everybody’s bandwidth in terms of connections and gives us much more leverage as a group with LinkedIn. So please click on the link above to join this group. (Please note that you need to be a member of LinkedIn and your profile should contain reference to your IIT Kharagpur education).

Arindam Guptaray (1986 ECE RK), Anshuman Sharma (1996 CS LLR) and Anshuman Prasad (2002 ME RP)
Group Managers, IIT Kharagpur LinkedIn Group
In addition to the IIT Kharagpur Group, there is also a broader IIT Alumni Group on LinkedIn.

The 5 T’s: Tempo, Team, Talent, Time, and Taka

Dear KGP-ians,

I am writing to you to urge each and every KGP-ian to participate in implementing Director Acharya’s vision of making IIT Kharagpur a Global Leader in Advanced Research and Education.

For the successful implementation of this vision we require “5 T’s”: Tempo, Team, Talent, Time, and Taka to come together. I believe that for the first time in the history of the alumni movement we have 3 of the 5 T’s lined up and with your participation we can add the remaining two T’s giving us a very high probability of success.

Letter from Director

Dear Fellow KGP-ians,

This is my first message since I took office as Director of IIT Kharagpur, and I wish you and your family a Happy Deepavali, Vijoya and Thanksgiving Day.

I am an alum first and Director of IIT Kharagpur next. Four months ago, when I set foot on campus, I was overcome with this feeling of nostalgia — similar to what you experience when one returns to one’s
hometown and reunites with family and friend after an extended period of separation. The power of this experience has energized me to pursue a vision of making IIT Kharagpur a Global leader in academic excellence that seeds intellectual property and industry for the benefit of all its stakeholders, the nation and the world.
