In order to start a dairy business, Kishore left the US and returned to India. In 2013, he established Sid's Farm, a direct-to-consumer dairy brand after purchasing 20 cows. The company reportedly generated Rs 64.5 crore in revenue in 2022 and recently raised Rs. 8.1 cr in bridge round from its customers and their referrals.

Kishore Indukuri is a native of Hyderabad and comes from a middle-class family. Kishore received his BSc degree in Chemistry from IIT Kharagpur and completed a PHD in Polymer Science form the University of Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he joined Intel in Arizona.  However, six years into his job, Kishore realized his real passion was agriculture. His family back in India owned some land in Karnataka, and Kishore used to join them in visiting the fields and interacting with farmers. He is quoted on Sid’s farm website as saying, “I decided to quit my job and return to my agricultural roots. Moving back to Hyderabad, I realized that there were limited options for affordable, unadulterated milk. I wanted to bring a change not only for my son and my family but also for the people of Hyderabad.”  Kishore’s passion is to provide every family with healthy and natural dairy products that are free from antibiotics, hormones, preservatives and other harmful adulterants.
