Journey of an Entrepreneur

a talk by Dr. Sridhar Jagannathan, co-founder, CTO and EVP of Adatom.com, Inc.

This time our featured speaker is Dr. Sridhar Jagannathan, Azad Hall, 1979, Naval Architecture who is the co-founder, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Adatom.com, Inc.

"Being an entrepreneur is akin to riding a roller coaster for the first time. Twists and turns, heart-stopping falls, agonizing climbs, sheer terror and exhilaration are all parts of being an entrepreneur. For every enthralled rider, there is probably another who wishes that he had not gotten on board. This talk will focus on the trials and tribulations of an entrepreneur. Aspects of personal and company evolution will be examined. The end objective is to provide a basis for introspection and self-assessment so that would-be entrepreneurs can prepare for the journey."

About the speaker:

Dr. Jagannathan recognized that a modular and open architecture is required for an Internet superstore to manage vast product selections and millions of transactions. By executing his technology vision, Adatom.com developed a completely scalable and portable back-end management system.

He has over 15 years of experience in software development, consulting and Internet sectors. Prior to joining Adatom, he was employed at Oracle Corporation as Technical Director for Internet and e-commerce. Earlier, he was Group Manager and Director of Glosten Associates, where he was responsible for client acquisitions, software development and company management. Dr. Jagannathan serves on the board of directors of Adatom.com, Inc. He holds a Doctorate Degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters Degree in Business Management from Stanford University of Palo Alto, California.
