It is time again for our annual west coast picnic. Please mark your calendars and spread the word. Desi food will be catered.For those who missed the 1999 west coast picnic its a chance to relive it.
This year's picnic area is going to be held in Ed Levin County Park at the Sandy Wool Group site. It is a very scenic site surrounded by hills, right next to the Sandy Wool lake.
At the picnic, you will also get a chance to meet with Prof. Amitabha Ghosh, Director of IIT KGP, who is visiting the US along with a few other professors.
[Update as of 9/13/00: Unfortunately, Prof. Ghosh's travel has been delayed by about 3 days and he will not be present at the picnic. However, the other professors who are accompanying him, will be present.]

FREE for all [ There is however a $4 vehicle entrance fee charged by the park. ] The following alums have been gracious enough to pick up the cost of the picnic -- Arjun Malhotra, Dennis Mathias, Raj Khanna, Shyamal Roy Chowdhuri, Suhas Patil and Vasan Raman. We encourage alumni to donate generously towards the IIT Foundation. You can donate what ever amount you feel like on the day of the picnic at the time of registration. |
