Dear Alumnus,
It is with great pride and pleasure that I announce that the performance of IIT Kharagpur at Diwali Dhamaka 2004 was ranked second after IIT Bombay.
Our accomplished team performed with gusto, grace and style, and when the curtains came down, the audience shouted for more, validating a truly superior performance.
Since then, many IITians I have talked to believe that if the IIT Kharagpur team had more supporters in the audience, the judges would most likely have placed the team in first place. (IIT Kharagpur had 98 attendees versus, 198 from IIT Bombay). Also, many KGPians failed to attend because of schedule conflicts, and would love the opportunity to see the performance.
In response , we have have decided to kick off the year 2005 with an event to honor the performers who brought us distinction at Diwali Dhamaka.
This event shall be held in on Saturday, February 19th. 2005 and shall be appropriately called "An Evening with the Stars".
Please mark your calenders, inform your fellow KGPians, and plan to attend in record numbers, thereby showing support for this talented group.
Happy holidays to you and your dear ones.
Regards
