KHARAGPUR RAILWAY STATION

Kharagpur's other claim to fame is its railway station.
At 848 m, it is supposed to be longest railway
platform in the world. Kharagpur has also been turned into
divisional headquarters for the S.E.Railway.

This is the gateway to our great Institute. Almost everyone
sets their first foot on KGP soil here.
|

One of my favourite photos, which brings tears to my eyes even
after all these years. This was taken the summer of 91 (21st May), after
we left Kharagpur for the last time (on our way back home.... the
other one).
