Like all great languages in the history of mankind, the kgp-lingo is rich
in its expressiveness, its words taking roots from diverse sources but
simplifying or distorting them with the passage of time, and often creating
ingenious expressions to meet new demands. This flexibility of the language
has made it what it is today: dynamic, powerful and yet musical;
rational, scientific and yet poetic; KGP-ites' pride, others' envy.
The expressions below are unique to KGP, and even if some of them are used
elsewhere, they have special/high use in KGP.
EXPRESS suggests an impulse to reveal in any manner, as in
words, gestures, actions, or in what one makes or produces; VENT stresses a
strong inner compulsion to express esp. in words; UTTER implies the use of
the voice not necessarily in articulate speech; VOICE does not necessarily
imply vocal utterance but does imply expression or formulation in words;
BROACH adds the implication of disclosing for the first time something long
thought over or reserved for a suitable occasion; AIR implies an exposing
or parading one's views often in order to gain relief or sympathy or
attention.

ACTION: did you notice that whatever we KGPites did we always 'maroed' it.
For eg. we maroed bhaat, maroed fag, maroed booze, maroed crash, maroed hog,
maroed mugga, maroed shagga, maroed bunk, maroed crack, even maroed funda in
front of others ..etc...etc..
- An observant ex-KGPite
One of the most commonly used words during my time was 'hagga'
(to shit). Usually heard to describe a kgpite's life as hagga, mugga and
shagga.
